AMMAN - February 17, 2016 - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) received a high-profile delegation from the governorate of Ma’an, headed by the Ex-Minister of Agriculture, HE Mr. Ahmed Al Khattab and the Mayor of Ma’an, HE Mr. Majid Al-Sharari, to review and study the activities, programs and projects that TAG-Org might conduct in the city, and to review the latest activities there.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed the attendees and affirmed that what the Group provided to Ma’an was merely a drop in the sea in order to express his love for it and for its citizens. In addition he expressed his pride in the visit made by the national leaders of the generous citizens of Ma’an.
He reviewed the latest accomplishments and programs performed by the group there, which included training and graduating 22 young men and women with a diploma in alternative energy, training more than 80 students of the All Jordan Youth Commission in English language skills and small projects, and preparing a number of halls and knowledge stations specialized in training and activity organization in the Ma’an Youth Center, Quantara Center, and the computer lab in Al Hussein Bin Talal University; in addition to a center in the All Jordan Youth Commission / King Abdullah II Fund, and equipping the smart classroom in Prince Hussein Culture Center to serve the children of the region.
Other accomplished projects also include the inauguration of a Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization office in the Ma’an Development Company to provide different services to investors, in addition to the regional archiving center of the group, which started archiving all the Group’s documents from its offices around the world, and will work on archiving the documents of many governmental organizations and ministries, and some banks.
Regarding employment, many of the governorate’s youth have been employed in the archiving center, both male female, in addition to employing young ladies from Ma’an in Al Hussein Bin Talal University. Furthermore, the permits related to establishing a radio station that broadcasts to Amman and the governorate of Ma’an have been finalized, where one hour a day of the station’s programs will be dedicated to highlight Ma’an’s activities, projects, and to its positive environment. Currently, progress in the procedures of establishing a hotel as a Ma’ani Jordanian joint stock company is being made.
Agreement on establishing several new projects based on the requests made by the delegation have been reached, in addition to proceeding in transforming ideas into real programs and projects on the ground, some of which might be through communication with concerned and supporting parties, such as establishing a fully equipped hospital, and establishing a training and rehabilitation center for the handicapped in order to employ them, in addition to proceeding with the land port file, in order for the services to include the governorate as a whole and not be limited to the city alone. Furthermore, a special recruitment program to serve the young men and women in the region will be presented in order to contribute to solving the issue of unemployment.
The Ex-Minister of Agriculture, HE Mr. Al Khattab maintained that the services and projects provided by Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh were felt in reality in the city, and that they in the city value what Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has given it, his sincere love for it and his constant care .
On the other hand, the Mayor, Mr. Al Sharari, maintained that the people of Ma’an were grateful, praising what Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has given within a record time, adding that they were seeking the help of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to shed the light on Ma’an and its real and bright image.
