AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), has warned of the dangers of climate pollution, stating that credible reports confirm its escalation to levels that could seriously endanger human existence by 2050.
This statement was made during a visit hosted at the Obeidat Tribe Diwan, attended by former Prime Minister, HE Mr. Ahmad Obeidat, former ministers, intellectuals, national figures, university students, and media representatives.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized that investing in knowledge and leveraging AI could effectively protect the planet from the dangers of climate pollution by managing toxic emission levels in industry.
Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghzaleh reiterated that “Technology moves only forward,” stressing the need for countries and societies to exert concerted efforts to keep pace with the technological revolution, starting with adopting digital transformation and teaching programming to schoolchildren from an early age, as well as encouraging creativity and innovation among students and youth.
He also asserted that the AI must become a ‘culture’ embraced by all, and that everyone should acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to engage with it, as AI will impact all fields of work and professions.
He went on to emphasize the importance of abiding by ethical standards in dealing with AI and called for the enactment of laws and regulations to govern its use and prevent unethical applications of these technologies.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also disclosed that TAG.GD has recently faced a cyberattack, noting that it was the only Arab company among the world’s leading targeted firms. He confirmed that TAG.GD has successfully contained and resolved the breach within 24 hours, thanks to its robust data protection policies and backup copies stored in three different countries.
He continued to highlight the strong cooperation between TAG.GD and the National Cybersecurity Center, assuring attendees that the future of information security in Jordan will be exceptional.
