Arab Knowledge and Management Society Holds Annual Meeting in Amman, Senator Abu-Ghazaleh calls for the launch of the database project for ICT indicators in education

 

 

AMMAN-------- January 27, 2011-------The Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS) held its annual meeting in Amman at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh School of Business (TAGSB) with the presence of its board of trustees and general assembly.

The meeting was presided by HE Senator Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the board of trustees, who called for the launch of the database project for ICT indicators in education, which AKMS intends to implement in cooperation with UNESCO and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org).
 
Senator Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the latest agreements signed recently with  Qudratt Center in Saudi Arabia in the field of training and the Arab Certified Quality Manager program’s examinations in addition to other specialized training courses.

The second agreement signed with Jordan Society for Quality aims at improving and developing various management aspects while the third with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh School of Business (TAGSB), which aims at accrediting the Arab Certified Quality Manager (ACQM) program and another one with El Hira Consultancy and Quality Engineering in Libya in the field of training and Arab Certified Quality Manager program’s examinations.

Attendees tackled AKMS 2010 annual report and focused on the accomplishments and activities, including the accreditation of ACQM program in Bahrain by the Ministry of Labor, the authorized authority for accrediting professional certificates and training courses, in addition to the implementation of several training programs in a number of Arab countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

The meeting also addressed the mechanism of preparing a five-year strategic plan that is based on balanced performance cards applications.

Furthermore, it has been decided to hold a regional conference in 2011, organized by AKMS  to  tackle knowledge management in the Arab region.
