Abu-Ghazaleh Patronizes Ceremony Honoring Top Graduates at the Yarmouk University

IRBID, Jordan - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) addressed outstanding graduates of the 40th Batch of the Yarmouk University saying that success and failure are the two sides of the same coin; success might lead to failure if we don’t completely comprehend that maintaining excellence is the basis for sustaining success.

During his patronage of the honoring ceremony, organized by the Alumni Club in the presence of Prof. Zeidan Kafafi, University President, Dr. Abu Ghazaleh stressed that failure on the other hand could lead to success if we learn how to use it to achieve success.

“Learning is an uninterrupted process; the more we learn the more we realize how little we know. Learning does not end with getting university degrees as life is full of tests of all types at the personal and professional levels which drives us to diligently strive toward learning no matter how old you get,” Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said.

In his speech, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh declared that TAG.Global in its endeavor to enhance cooperation with the University will establish Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center at the University which will be equipped with the latest technologies, software and electronic devices in addition to a free more secure high-speed Internet connection provided by TAG.Global’s own Internet line.

Additionally, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his gratitude to the University and the Alumni Club for inviting him to patronize the event which is considered a pioneering idea that enhances the attachment of alumni to their university and supports it materially and morally after graduation. He as well commended the University’s eagerness and determination to cope with the various advancements in the fields of knowledge.

In his speech, Dr. Kafafi thanked Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his support to the University and keenness to enforce the partnership between TAG.Global and the University and his readiness to exchange expertise for the purpose of introducing training programs that benefit university students and local community, meet their ambitions and improve their skills in the rapidly changing world that witnesses scientific innovations and technologies surpassing the human ability to keep track of.

“Acquiring knowledge has not been limited to one nation anymore where high-tech communication technologies enable everyone to improve their scientific knowledge,” Kafafi said, noting that top and outstanding graduates of the University have the ability to become exceptional scientists.

Meanwhile, Alumni Club Honorary President, Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi delivered a speech saying that the Club is keen to annually organize such a ceremony to pay tribute to outstanding graduates who we are all proud of. He noted that the Club named the ceremony after Professor Adnan Mjalli; one of the brilliant graduates of the University in recognition of his efforts and scientific contributions in drug discovery and development of new medicines at an international level.

“Since its establishment, more than 180000 students have graduated from the Yarmouk University who have proven their distinction at the labor market. Many of them hold exceptional positions at local and regional levels which is considered a source of pride for the whole country,” Abu
