Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technologies International and Huawei Technologies Sign MoU


AMMAN ----September 9,  2015 ----- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technologies International (TAGITI), member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), and Huawei Technologies Cooperatief/Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Salah Abu Osbeh, International Partnership Executive Director and Mr. Saeed Xia Guohuan, General Country Manager of Huawei Jordan in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan HE Mr. Gao Yusheng and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of TAG-Org.

According to the MoU, the two parties will join their forces for future  cooperation in business opportunities in the fields of: Information and Technology Communication; the parties have extensive experience in Information and Technology Communication, research, trade and business advice on economic development of countries and regions.

HE the Chinese Ambassador expressed his pride during the signing ceremony saying: "The agreement is an excellent example of partnership between a Jordanian private company and a Chinese private company and between the private and government sectors. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said: "Experience and passion for development join hands together in this agreement. We are proud to partner with one of the biggest companies in the world and a leader in the Information and Technology Communication field that will cover all needed development in software, hardware and services."

"Through this agreement, we are fulfilling the directives of HM King Abdullah regarding developing the IT and educational sectors in Jordan and we are already working on several plans to include other sectors," he said.

Mr. Li Shi, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Levant region said: "We are happy to sign this agreement with TAG-Org and we know that the future will be brighter in the field of information technology in which we will cover education, IT and communication through focusing on software, hardware and services. Huawei has a strong presence in Jordan since 2005 .

The Parties agreed to link countries through ICT industries and infrastructures as part of the Silk Road economic belt initiative. They also agreed to jointly endeavor to study possible projects and areas of cooperation, develop different strategies to support the ICT development in the Jordan market and Jordan Country under the mandate of the Economic Silk Road, 
 
In addition to explore the possibilities of expanding TAG-Org research and connectivity project (ASREN) to China and work on strategic plans for the utilization of Huawei expertise in further developing TAG-Cloud Services
